Eleanor Beltz Shihadeh
June 11, 1924 - December 29, 2016 Eleanor Keely Beltz Shihadeh went to be with the Lord Thursday after a brief illness. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Born to Commander Fred Wallace Beltz and Sara Keely Beltz in Norristown, PA, Eleanor graduated from Wilson College in 1946. After raising her family in Valley Forge, PA, she and her husband moved to Satellite Beach, FL in 1975 and in 1994 moved to Bonita Springs, FL where she resided until moving to Huntsville in 2015. She was a lifelong birder and artist. She was a faithful member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Bonita Springs and an active Wilson College alumna. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, William Shihadeh, her brother Fred Beltz and granddaughter Jessica Lee Van Dyke. Eleanor is survived by her children: Susan Cline (Jim) of Bonita Springs, FL, Christine Shihadeh (Chris Van Dyke) of Bend, OR, Steven Shihadeh (Aimee) of Malvern, PA, Pennie Keene (Tom) of Huntsville and Lt. Col. Matthew Shihadeh of San Diego, CA; grandchildren Bambi Metscher (Bill), Maggie Townsend (Andrew), Ellie Porter (Bill), Sallie Stokes (Kyle), Will Keene, Travis, Carly and Mandy Shihadeh; Natasha Cline Shirley (Greg), Lt. Col. Mark Cline (Mary) and Jon Cline (Janine) and their children. She is also survived by 5 great grandsons and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at a later date at West Laurel Hill Cemetery in Bala Cynwyd, PA.
