The Life of Wallace Hallowell Wallace

Wallace Hallowell Wallace of Gladwyne, PA Wallace Hallowell Wallace passed away on April 16, 2017. Born in Philadelphia on July 9, 1927, to the late Dorothy Hallowell Fox and James Macaulay Wallace, he was just shy of his 90th birthday. Wally is survived by his wife of 66 years Helen (Justi), children Paul (Elizabeth), Cynthia (Bruce), and Dale, brother William, and grandchildren Stephen, Daniel, and Adam. He was predeceased by his daughter Carol, sister Elizabeth Wallace Muller, and brother James. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Naval Air Corps, and founded two companies, Associates for Research in Behavior (ARBOR) and Achievement House. Wally was a 1945 graduate of the Haverford School, 1950 graduate of Princeton University, and doctoral recipient from University of Pennsylvania. He was a member of Sigma Xi and the Merion Cricket Club. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Association for Psychological Science, 1800 Massachusetts Ave., NW, Suite 402, Washington, DC, 20036 or the Haverford School, 450 Lancaster Ave., Haverford, PA, 19041.
