Age 91, of Ocean City, NJ, died on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017 at Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point, NJ, after a short illness. He was a long-term Philadelphia resident before retiring to Ocean City, NJ in 1985. Bill was an accomplished chemical engineer working many years for Allied Chemical (now Honeywell), and also serving as an advisor to the EPA and the State of New Jersey on environmental and pollution control matters. He leaves behind his wife, Dorothy Reiter -- Ocean City, NJ, son, William Reiter (Kim) -- Newtown Square, Pa, daughter, Ann Snyder -- Linwood, NJ, grandsons, William Reiter, Chris Reiter, and Aaron Synder, great granddaughter, Nora Reiter and a niece, Rev. Susan Cushinotto (Rich) -- Tuckahoe, NJ. His Funeral Service will be offered Thursday morning at 11 o'clock from THE GODFREY FUNERAL HOME, 809 Central Avenue, Ocean City, NJ where friends may call from ten o'clock until the time of service. Burial is in West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 2998 Bay Ave., Ocean City, NJ.
