The Life of Arlene B. Townsend M.D.
Age 63 years, of Villanova PA, died Thursday morning, March 16th, 2017, after a 2 year battle with uveal melanoma. Arlene was the third daughter of J. Kenneth Brown and Evelyn (Day) Brown born in 1953 in Phila. She attended college at Grove City PA (1975), and went on to Medical School at Hahnemann (now Drexel University) (1979) and pursued training and a career in Internal Medicine. She married Raymond in Medical School, celebrated 38 years of marriage and is survived by him, her mother, 2 sisters and her 4 children Amy, Paul, Melanie and Daniel, and 7 grandchildren. She is remember-ed for a strong Christian witness, work in Medical Missions with Mission to the World, service on the Board of Directors of the Harvest USA Mission Agency, and for teach-ing English as a Second Language at Proclamation Presbyterian Church in Bryn Mawr PA. There will be a private Interment Service, followed by an open Memorial Service the latter commencing at 11:30 A.M., on March 30th 2017, at Church of the Saviour located at 651 N. Wayne Avenue, Wayne PA 19087.
