The Life of Andrea P. Broad
BROAD, Andrea, (nee Rosenbaum), 66, of Bala Cynwyd, passed away peacefully at home on February 23, 2017. Andi, as she was known to her family and friends, was beloved and inspiring to all who knew her. An attorney by trade, she had a varied and colorful career ranging from the practice of law, to legal education, work with assorted early-stage biotechnology companies, and serving as General Counsel for Big Brothers Big Sisters. She brought immense energy, passion, and dedication to her countless charitable and community works. She was outspoken and charismatic, and loved playing tennis, working in her garden, reading, traveling, cooking and singing lullabies to her grandson Fletcher. To her family and friends, she was larger than life, and she will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Louis Broad; children Emily Broad Leib (Jon Leib) and Eric Broad; grandson Fletcher Leib; sister Gwen Richbell (Alan Richbell); brother Stuart Rosenbaum (Marie Guenat); and her nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
A funeral service will be held at West Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Inc., 225 Belmont Avenue, Bala Cynwyd, Sunday February 26th at 1 p.m. Interment immediately following the service. The family will observe shiva at the Broad residence on Sunday after the interment, Monday and Tuesday evening. Donations in Andi’s honor can be made to the charity of your choice, or to the Support Center for Child Advocates, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, or the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.

I never met Andrea but i worked with Dr. Broad and he has been our Doctor for many years.
I know how devoted he was to his wife. And I am deeply sorry for his loss. He often spoke about
what a wonderful Wife, mother and Grandmother she was.
