Age 83 of the Hill District passed peacefully on February 14, 2017. Wife of Brice Simmons; mother of David Simmons and the late Gregory Murphy; sister of the late Fred Willis, Mildred and Ann Boswell; survived by Sarah Parris, Alvin Johnson, Lucy Nelson, Rev. Howard Boswell and Alice Murray; also survived by five grand children; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. in the SAMUEL J. JONES FUNERAL HOME 2644 Wylie Ave. Funeral Service on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the Monumental Baptist Church, 2240 Wylie Ave., Pgh., PA 15219. Interment Homewood Cemetery
