The Life of Elizabeth Euler
Elizabeth M. (Hughes) Euler, 89, of Phoenixville, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 in Pottstown, at the home of her daughter. Born on February 24, 1927 in Philadelphia, she was the only child of the late Howard and Anna (Hemsley) Hughes. Betty was a 1945 graduate of Tredyffrin/Easttown High School and then attended the Pottstown Business School. Elizabeth worked for many years for Coleman Industries, and at the age of 80, retired from Mittnacht Graphics. She was a member of the Charlestown United Methodist Church where she was also a member of the United Methodist Women. She loved her dogs and bird watching. She enjoyed taking care of her home and yard and time spent at the shore. Betty loved people and life, and most importantly loved time spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Betty is survived by her daughter: Marcia A., wife of Ed Wanish, of Pottstown; three sons: Bill, husband of Theresa Stevens, of Bowie, MD, Brent, husband of Darlene Euler, of Blenheim, NJ and Robert, husband of Linda Euler, of Berwyn; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Stevens and second husband, M. Townsend Euler; and a son: Townsend Euler. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Charlestown United Methodist Church, 650 Church Road, Malvern (Charlestown Village) on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 10:00 am. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Eric H. Woodworth. Interment will follow in the West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd. Friends will be received from 9:30 am - 10:00 am at the Church. Memorial contributions may be made in Betty’s name to the Charlestown United Methodist Church, 650 Church Road, Malvern, PA 19355.
