The Life of Doris Roberts Merz
Doris R. Merz, 84, died peacefully while surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 22, 2017 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
Doris was born in Philadelphia on February 12, 1932 to Eleanor and Earl Roberts. She graduated from Olney High School and prior to the birth of her daughter, enjoyed many years of employment at Temple University, Land Title Bank, and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Barbara and John Hafner and her grandson John Hafner III. She is predeceased by her husband, Alfred L. Merz, whose cremated remains will be buried with her on Saturday.
The funeral service will take place on Saturday January 28th, 11:00 a.m. at West Laurel Hill Funeral Home, 225 Belmont Avenue, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004. There will be a private interment following the funeral service.
