The Life of Caren Aita
Caren S. Aita, born to Harry Goodman and Frances Schlosser in Rockaway Beach, New York in February, 1949, died on Saturday, June 18th at the age of 67. She was married to Anthony for 45 years, and a caring, loving, selfless mom to her three children. She was a member of Hadassah and a volunteer at McCall Elementary School. She had many administrative jobs, and was willing to try anything. She was brave, strong and giving…and always right! She is preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Lori Ann Goodman. She is survived by her husband, Anthony, her children: Lori Levitt (Adam Levitt), Michele Jensen (Scott Jensen), and Matt Aita (Emily Aita), and grandchildren: Farren and Joshua Levitt, Natalie Jensen, and Henry and Charlotte Aita. Funeral Service promptly at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 21st at Bringhurst Funeral Home at West Laurel Hill Cemetery, 225 Belmont Avenue, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004. Interment immediately following at West Laurel Hill Cemetery. Shiva will be observed at the Aita residence, immediately following the burial, and after 12 noon on Wednesday and Thursday. I enjoyed spending time with Caren and Tony when they visited in Ventnor. Caren always had a smile, plenty to tell me about her children and grandchildren (Tony supplied the pictures). I'll remember her kindness, ease of conversation, spirit in spite of illness. A lovely person. She will be missed.
