The Life of Elizabeth Graham

ELIZABETH MYERS GRAHAM, daughter of the late Jeff Myers Sr. and Minnie Wheeler Myers, was born in Pamplico, South Carolina on November 20, 1928. She departed this earthly life on Friday, April 29, 2016 in the comfort of her home. She attended the public schools of Florence County. She was converted and became a member of Mill Branch African Methodist Episcopal Church at an early age. Elizabeth married Robert Graham Sr. in 1947 and the family relocated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1953. She joined Fletcher United Methodist Church and attended until her health declined. Elizabeth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Family was very important to her. She was also a vital part of the 1500 block of Peach Street, where she resided on the same corner for sixty-one years. She did not work outside the home, but enjoyed caring for many neighborhood children. She loved family gatherings and trips to visit relatives. She was an excellent cook and seamstress. She was preceded in death by her patents; son, Stephen; five sisters, Anna, Abbie, Hestine, Gertrude, and Harristine; and cousins raised as brother and sisters, James Sr., Edith Mae and Queen Esther. Elizabeth leaves many relatives to cherish fond and precious memories; her husband, of sixty-nine years, Robert Graham Sr.; three sons, Robert Jr. (Gail) of Decatur, GA, Harold, Eric (Tiffany); one daughter, Martha Jo Singleton all of Philadelphia; five grandchildren, Robert III, Leon Jr., Ravae, Charity (Shinodah) and Erica; one great-grandson, Kai; a special niece, Abbiegail; one brother, Jeff Myers Jr. of Pamplico, SC; two sisters, Minnie Thomas of Pamplico, SC and Carolyn Myers of Brooklyn, NY; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Morgan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
