The Life of Shirley Wilson Huntington

HUNTINGTON, Shirley Wilson Huntington, 90, died Monday April 11, 2016 in Kirkland, Washington.  She was born on May 7, 1925 in Philadelphia to Harry Howell and Irene Wilde, attended Overbrook High School and two years at Drexel University.   She was an administrative assistant for the dean of Thomas Jefferson Medical School before having her four children.  She is predeceased by her husband, William Lambert Huntington, of 27 years.  She is survived by her four children:  William Roger Huntington and wife Janice, James Craig Huntington and wife Hope, Susan Leigh (Huntington) Reilly, and Patricia Anne Huntington and husband John Gove; six grandchildren: Donna Sam and husband Ben, Liesyl Cranston and husband David, Jeffrey Huntington and wife Shannon, William Huntington, Meghan Clements and husband Neal, and Robert Reilly; seven great grandchildren: Rachel Sam, Kendal Sam, Kyler Sam, Pierce Cranston, Parker Cranston, Amelia Clements, and Lauren Huntington.  She will be remembered for her cheery disposition, great sense of humor, and love of sports, especially basketball and baseball, not to mention the board game Parcheesi.  She had a great smile and loved any kind of candy but was partial to Reece’s peanut butter cups. Visitation at 12 noon and Funeral Service at 1 p.m., Monday April 25th at Bringhurst Funeral Home at West Laurel Hill Cemetery.  Interment immediately following the service.
