Warren J. Gondolf (1950 - 2016)
Warren J. Gondolf of West Chester Warren J. Gondolf, 65, husband of Eileen (Trench) Gondolf, of West Chester, PA., passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2016. Born on June 6, 1950 in Bryn Mawr PA, he was the brother of Edward Gondolf and son of the late Edward Gondolf, Sr. and Marjorie Gondolf. In addition to his wife of 43 years, he is survived by: son Nathan Gondolf and daughters Ashley Brannen and Robin Gondolf. Also, grandchildren Alana, Chase, Sophia and Taylor. Warren attended Henderson High School and was a graduate of York College in 1972. Warren retired from SKF a Swedish manufacturing co., as a senior global advisor based in Lansdale, PA. His work took him regularly to Sweden and countries ranging from South Africa to China and to race tracks in Phoenix and Daytona. He was passionate about music. Warren was well-known for his drumming ability and kept in touch with his old band mates from Sir Gregory and the Lords and the Black Crow Band. The Crow Band was famous for the European USO tour in the 1970’s. In recent years Warren enjoyed his Christian Science studies, gourmet cooking, tending to his rose gardens, assembling family photo archives, and being a handyman for family projects. His real love has been spending his last days with his close family and grandchildren. Warren will most be remembered for his outgoing friendly and embracing personality as well as his extreme generosity towards others. He will truly be missed yet constantly remembered in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent in Warren’s name to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) at give.chop.edu. Also, the Brandywine Valley SPCA whose info be found on their website. A memorial service will be held at a later date and friends and family will be contacted with date and time.
