The Life of Edward Gidzinski

GIDZINSKI, Edward J., 83, of Northeast Philadelphia, PA died Sunday March 13, 2016. Edward grew up in Bridesburg, summered in Vincentown, NJ, was a Private First Class in the U.S. Army, and worked for Allied Chemical for over 35 years. He was a generous friend who loved life and spending time with his family. He was an elegant man, an immaculate dresser and had a smile that could light up the world. He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Frances, and siblings: Walter, John, Benjamin, Joseph, Alfred, Mary and Stephanie. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Eleanor Margaret (nee Kaewell); daughters Lisa Marie, and Susan Frances Guida (John Guida); grandchildren: John Anthony Caputo, Thomas Edward Caputo, Alyssa Marie Caputo, Isabella Guida, Benjamin Guida, Douglass Guida and Mackenzie Guida; and great grandchildren: John Anthony Caputo, Jr., Jazmyne Caputo, Gina Marie Levans, and John “Jack” Edward Levans. Visitation at 9 a.m. and Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 18th at Saint Dominic’s Catholic Church, 8504 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19136 Entombment immediately following at West Laurel Hill Cemetery.
