The Life of Michael John Labriola
LABRIOLA, Michael John, Sr., 82, of Lansdale, PA, died Friday November 6, 2015. Michael was born and raised in Manayunk, attended St. John the Baptist High School for Boys, was a U.S. Marine, owner of Styl-Rama in King of Prussia and former owner of 5 Star Academy beauty schools in Norristown and Roxborough. He was also active in the Philadelphia Hair Guild and a Dale Carnegie Alumni. He is predeceased by his parents, Frank and Josephine (Ranui), brothers: John “Butch”, Francis Emery, Joseph and James “Jim”, and step-son Tony Whitcas. He is survived by his wife Joan (Hillerstrom), children: Mary Jo DeRosato, Michael, Jr., Christie Barolin, Martin, Valerie, Jean Salantri and Darlene Caracappa; step-children: Nicole Wolf and Kerri Pratt; 19 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; and siblings: Mary Baratta, Barbara Wojdon (Edward Wojdon), and Thomas. Memorial service on Wednesday, November 11th, at 11 a.m., with a greeting period beginning at 10 a.m., at Bringhurst Funeral home at West Laurel Hill Cemetery. Interment immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fox Chase Cancer Center.
