The Life of Ethel Clemmer

Ethel Chammings Clemmer, age 88, of Cape May Court House, NJ for the past four years and formerly of Stone Harbor and Vineland, NJ, died on Friday, September 12, 2014. She was born in Vineland and then attended nursing school in Philadelphia. She was a retired registered nurse having worked in the maternity departments of Methodist Hospital in Philadelphia and the former Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Cape May Court House and her Church when she lived in Vineland. She served as Commuion Steward for many years.

She is survived by the following nieces and nephews, Rita Mae DePalma Montelone, David Karl DePalma, Chris Chammings, Janice Chammings Larcher and Paul Malcolm Chamming II; a great-niece, Denise DePalma Saoner. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph in 1988 and nephews, Raymond Daniel DePalma and Robert DePalma.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at 11 am at the First United Methodist Church, Main Street, Cape May Court House, NJ where friends may visit 10 to 11 am. Interment will be in West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, PA. Memorials may be made to the Frist United Methodist Church, 1 Church Street, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
