The Life of Carl A. Langheim Sr.

Carl A. Langheim Sr. passed away peacefully on July 15, 2015, at age 84. Born in Roxborough, Carl was the son of the late Marguerite (Werkly) and Wallace F. Langheim. He resided in Eagleville with his beloved wife of 59 ½ years, Helen (Hart) Langheim, who passed away in 2012. He was preceded in death by his grandson Michael Langheim. Carl was the father of Butch Langheim (Jo Jo), Barbara Freas of Atlanta, Ga., and Ken Langheim (Lucy), and the cherished grandfather of seven and great-grandfather of nine. He is survived by his two sisters, Lois Lennon and Margaret Miller (Bruce) of San Diego, Calif., and many nieces and nephews. Carl and Helen travelled the US in their RV, spending winters in Florida. His family remembers him as a dedicated husband and father. He was a member of the Lower Providence Presbyterian Church. Carl proudly served our Country in the US Army during the Korean War. He retired as a research machinist from Unisys in 1986. He spent many years as an active member, holding the offices of chief and chief engineer and life member of the Lower Providence Fire Company, an honorary life member of the Collegeville Fire Company, a member of the Jeffersonville Fire Company. as well as a lifetime member of IAFC. Relatives and friends are invited to Carl's Life Celebration at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 200 W. Germantown Pike, on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, from 6-8 p.m. and again Thursday, July 23, from 10-10:50 a.m. Carl's Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m., followed by interment at West Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lower Providence Fire Company, P.O.Box 48, Eagleville, PA 19408.
