The Life of Roberta Schulz Brunner

BRUNNER, Roberta Schulz, 97, formerly of Bala Cynwyd, PA, died peacefully surrounded by family members on July 13, 2015. Born in Columbus, OH, Mrs. Brunner was a graduate of Ohio State University, and a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, Phi Upsilon Omicron and Omicron Nu, national home economic sororities.  A war-time bride, Mrs. Brunner worked in a military factory in San Diego, CA during World War II. In Philadelphia, Mrs. Brunner was an active volunteer in many organizations including: Medical Auxiliary of the Presbyterian Hospital, Pennsylvania County Medical Society (a past President), The Emergency Aid Society, and The Woman’s Club of Bala Cynwyd. Preceding her in death were her husband, Richard A. Brunner MD, and daughter Jeanne. She is survived by five children: Anne Hunt, Frances Keilt, Roberta Cestare, Lucinda Barkovich, and Richard Brunner; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Services will be held at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 196 Woodbine Ave, Narberth, PA on Friday, July 24 at 11 a.m. followed by a reception at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Arr by BRINGHURST FUNERAL HOME at WEST LAUREL HILL CEMETERY.
