The Life of John Martin Moon

JOHN M. "JACK", died quietly at home in Rosemont PA, surrounded by family on July 3, 2015, at age 94. He lived a life of service to his church and had a career in the chocolate candy industry at Whitman's and then Godiva Chocolates. He was an avid sailor and motorcyclist into his 80's and a consummate and hilarious story teller. He was predeceased by his wife, Lois Coulbourn Moon and is survived by a loving church community, many friends and family including his devoted loving friend, Helen B. Dennis; daughter, Catherine Moon Stalberg (Kenneth) of Belmont MA, and sons, Edward R. Moon II (Irene) of Westtown PA and David M. Moon (Carolyn) of Greenfield MA; 6 grandchildren Nathaniel Moon Stalberg, Gabriel Moon Stalberg, John Martin Moon, II, James Zacharias Moon, Rory Gardner Moon and Lindsay Gardner Moon. Funeral Services at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church on Saturday, July 25, at 11 A.M. Worship sharing in his memory at Haverford Friends Meeting at 7 P.M., on Friday, July 24. Memorial donations may be made to the John M. Moon Hymnal Fund at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, 625 Montgomery Ave., Bryn Mawr PA 19010 or to the Annual Fund, Haverford College, 370 Lancaster Avenue, Founders 308, Haverford PA 19041.
