The Life of Dorothy Brey Anderson
Dorothy Brey Anderson (Proctor R. Anderson, M.D.) of Winnetka passed away following her battle with cancer on June 13, 2015 at the age of 64. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Dorothy moved to Chicago after she married in 1973. Dorothy received her undergraduate degree from Smith College and her MBA from The University of Chicago. She lived in Winnetka for over 30 years with her husband Proctor, where they raised their three children. She is survived by their sons - Christopher Anderson, M.D. (Erica); Robert Anderson (Shannon); and John Anderson - her granddaughter Vivian, her sister Cynthia Brey, and her brother Robert Brey. She will be missed by her family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at 4:00 PM at The Kenilworth Union Church (211 Kenilworth Avenue, Kenilworth, IL 60043). Contributions in her honor may be sent to the Winnetka-Northfield Public Library or the Chicago Botanic Garden.
