The Life of Doris Kirkpatrick Bailey

Doris (Kirkpatrick) Bailey 92, of Nashua, NH died Sunday May 31, 2015 at Langdon Place in Nashua, NH surrounded by loving family. Doris was born on June 4, 1922 in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Robert Kirkpatrick and Caroline-Bonnie Sandberger. Doris graduated from West Chester University with a B.S. in Education. She taught at Upper Darby High School in Pa. Doris spent many years volunteering her time with organizations including the Red Cross, churches and political campaigns across the country. Doris loved playing tennis and is one of the founding members of the Mid-Ohio Valley Tennis Association.  In Nashua, she was past Chairman of the Nashua Area Republican City Committee.  After years of working in the interior design business she stared her own company the Window Décor in Nashua, NH. After retiring to Florida, Doris became very active in her community organizing numerous trips and events for Fairway Villas in North Port, Fl. She loved golf, traveling and spending time with friends and family. She enjoyed being at the beach and taking walks and picking up shells and sharks teeth. She was predeceased by her husband William C. Bailey, in 2006. Surviving are her brother Robert C. and Sue Kirkpatrick of West Chester, PA Her sons Alan C. and Carolyn Bailey of Irmo, SC and Richard C. and Jane Bailey of Newton, NH and daughter Carol Bailey of Nashua, NH; 5 grandchildren,  4 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, 7 nieces and 6 nephews. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross.
Services: A memorial service will be held at West Laurel Hill Cemetery in Bala Cynwyd, Pa. Local arrangements are being made by Dumont-Sullivan in Hudson, NH 603-882-9431.
