The Life of Carolyn Law Fotterall Robinson

Carolyn Law Fotterall Robinson, passed away peacefully at her place of residence in Augusta, Georgia on January 10, 2015 in her 89th year. She was the daughter of Walter Law Fotterall and Eleanor Grafton Dulany Fotterall of Ithan, PA. She was the beloved mother of Sam (Kris) Robinson, Louisa Macneill (Fletcher) and Chip Robinson (Geraldine O'Meara). She also leaves behind her adored grandsons Jonathan, Peter and Sklyar, and step-grandhildren Michael Hess (Sarah), Katia Doherty (Sean), Ian and Eric MacNeill. Carolyn was born on October 31, 1925 in Philadelphia and grew up on the Main Line. Her husband Samuel Snowden Robinson predeceased her in 1994. Carolyn attended the Agnes Irwin School in Bryn Mawr PA and graduated in the class of 1943 from The Oldfields School in Maryland. She obtained her Interior Decorator's license from the New York School of Interior Design and worked as a decorator for many years from her home in Bernardsville NJ and later Pottersville and Gladstone NJ. She was a second mother to all her children's friends growing up. She was a lover of music, garden club, architecture, antiques, painting, bridge, and all animals and she supported many dog rescues and animal charities throughout her life, as well as rescuing her own pack of dogs over the years. She will be dearly missed by all of her family. Donations in lieu of flowers may be sent to the Montgomery County SPCA, Conshohocken PA, the Far Hills NJ Rescue Squad, or the Peapack-Gladstone NJ Rescue Squad. A memorial will take place later in the spring at St Johns Church Bernardsville NJ and interment will be at West Laurel Hill Cemetery in Bala Cynwyd PA next to her beloved husband.
