The Life of Edythe Kerr

Edythe B. Kerr, formerly of King of Prussia Edythe B. Kerr passed away peacefully in Lancaster Regional Hospital with her family by her side on May 21, 2015 at age 90. She had moved to Ronks, PA after living in King of Prussia for 40 years. Born in Berwyn, PA, Edythe was the daughter of Sarah (Gardner) and Waldemar Wright. She was the beloved wife of the late John L. “Jack” Kerr. Edythe was the loving mother of James D. Kerr, Sr. and his wife Dale M. Kerr. She was the grandmother of Lisa Merritt, Laura Nero and James D. Kerr, Jr. Edythe had six great grandchildren, Jan, Jerritt and Julia Windbiel, Dominic Kerr, Isabella Nero and Arianna Nero. She was the loving sister of the late Waldemar Wright, Thomas Wright and Ruth Milligan. Edythe received her RN degree from Lankenau Nursing School. After working at the hospital, she joined the practice of Reed, Marchant and Laise. She was a member of the Lankenau Ladies’ Auxiliary and participated with her husband John who was very active in Kiwanis. Relatives and friends are invited to Edythe’s Life Celebration at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 200 W. Germantown Pike on Friday, May 29, 2015 from 6-8 PM and again Saturday, May 30th from 10:30-11 AM. Edythe’s Funeral Service will begin at 11 AM, followed by interment at West Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Edythe’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Cancer Research Center, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
