The Life of Joseph K. Corson M.D.

Joseph K. Corson, MD died Sunday May 10th at his home in Plymouth Meeting, PA a few days before his 93rd birthday. A devoted husband and loving father of four, he was predeceased by wife Charlton, son Edward and daughter Locke. He is survived by his daughter Ann F. Corson, MD, son William C. Corson and four grandchildren. Dr. Corson practiced medicine for over 50 years serving as Chief of Dermatology at Chestnut Hill Hospital and Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology and Cutaneous Biology at Jefferson Medical College. He was a member of the Philadelphia Cricket Club, the Welcome Society, the Plymouth Meeting Historical Society, and hereditary member of the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States. Dr. Corson was an avid amateur cabinet maker who created many pieces of fine furniture for family and friends.  He was devoted to the care of his family's ancestral home and had a deep life-long love for the Wind River Valley region of northwestern Wyoming. The memorial service will be held at 3pm on Sunday May 24h at 'Maple Hill'.  Interment will be private.
