The Life of Albert W. Zito

ZITO, Albert W., 66, of Philadelphia died Monday May 11, 2015 in his home surrounded by family. He was born in Philadelphia on March 23, 1949 to the late Elizabeth (nee Suell) and the late Albert G. Zito. He was a truck driver for Mrs. Paul’s Kitchen for 25 years and finished his career driving for Lehigh Valley Dairy Farms retiring in 2005. Albert was a decorated veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. He was the recipient of the: National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with 2 bronze stars, The Vietnam Campaign Medal with 1960 Device, a Combat Infantryman Badge (1st Award), a Bronze Star Medal, a Purple Heart, 2 Overseas Bars, Sharpshooter (M-14), and Marksman (M-16). He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marcy, his sons: Albert J., Nicolas W., and Joseph M, his daughters: Erin E. Wetzel and Bethany Kural, and 12 grandchildren. Visitation services will be held Thursday, May 14, 2015, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Friday, May 15, 2015 at 10:00 AM with the Funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM at BRINGHURST FUNERAL HOME at WEST LAUREL HILL CEMETEERY, 225 Belmont Avenue, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004. Interment to immediately follow.
