The Life of Joseph Lechleider

Lechleider, Joseph W., 82, died at his home on April 18, 2015. Joseph was a graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School, The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, and NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering. He worked for Bell Laboratories and Bell Communications for many years and developed the theoretical underpinnings for ADSL. He invented many patents and in 2013 was inducted in the National Inventors Hall of Fame.  Joseph is survived by his wife Marie, two children, Pamela (Jeffrey Rosedale) and Robert (Lisa Heinzerling), and four grandchildren, Julia and Isaac Rosedale and Mariah and Lucas Heinzerling.  Visitation and Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday April 21st beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Bringhurst Funeral Home at West Laurel Hill Cemetery, 225 Belmont Ave., Bala Cynwyd, PA.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to:  The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art,   http://cooper.edu
