I was one of 'Tim's' first cousins, born just 8 months apart. Our mothers were sisters. I was named after his mother, Constance, so with two Connies in the family, I soon became "Connie Lee". It always warmed my heart when Tim referred to me as "Connie Lee", even as we grew into adulthood with grown children of our own. He was a gem of a guy, who loved his wife, adored his daughters, and treasured his sister. The last time I saw Tim was with Joan, Katherine and Emily at our daughter's wedding outside Glacier Park in Montana, 2012. It was such a happy occasion and Tim had lots of great conversations with family members. He will be greatly missed.

I have fond memories of all the Roll cousins together at our grandparent's house in Mount Union many years ago. Although we did not get to spend much time together in later years, I remember Tim well. Most recently, I ran into him and his family at our county fair and it was great to see them all. We wish the best for Joan and the girls.

Tim handled the underwriting sales for my garden show at WHYY-FM for many years. Never saw him without a big smile, even as he bravely approached the end--an end he told few to none of his co-workers about. A real lesson in courage. His smile will be missed..... ---Mike McGrath
