The Life of Thomas Kasper

Thomas J. Kasper, age 92 Thomas J. Kasper, age 92, of Media, died December 5, 2014. Born in Stroudsburg, Pa., Tom enrolled in Ursinus College and after completing two years enlisted in the Army, where he achieved the rank of Captain serving in Europe and the Philippines during WWII. Upon his return, he graduated from Ursinus in 1948. He went on to receive his master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his doctorate in organic chemistry from Temple University. Tom retired from Smith Kline & French (predecessor toGlaxoSmithKline) in 1986 as Director of Chemical Operations for US and Europe. Tom was an accomplished golfer who won many tournaments and was a long-time member of Media Presbyterian Church. He was the quintessential family man and he loved to entertain family and friends. Survived by his beloved wife of 64 years Esther (nee White) Kasper of Media. Devoted children Thomas (Anne), and Robert Kasper both of Richmond, Va., Barbara and Glenn Kasper, both of Media, and grandchildren Rebecca, Caroline and Priscilla Kasper. Relatives and Friends are invited to a Memorial service Saturday, January 24, 2015, at 1 p.m. in the Media Presbyterian Church, 30 E. Baltimore Avenue. Interment Private.
