The Life of Mildred M. McClure

Mildred M. McClure, 99, passed away January 10, 2015 at Dock Woods Community in Towamencin Township. She was the wife of the late John McClure, Jr., who passed away in 1986. Born March 15, 1915 in Havertown, she was a daughter of the late James B. and Emma (Weiler) Orr and step-daughter of the late Annie Orr. She enjoyed being a sales clerk at the former Strawbridge and Clothier in Jenkintown. Mrs. McClure was a member of Wentz's United Church of Christ for many years. She was the consummate cook and baker and was fond of entertaining friends and family in her home. Surviving is a nephew, James M. Kriebel, Jr. and his wife, Barbara, of Mechanicsburg; a niece, Linda Susan Dauphin of Gainesville, VA; a grand niece, Deborah K. Haynes and her husband, William; and a great grand niece, Sarah N. Haynes. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Beatrice Graham; and a brother, James D. Orr. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 11AM on Friday, January 16, at the Dock Woods Community Chapel, Woods Dr., Lansdale, where the family will receive friends for the viewing beginning at 10AM. Burial will take place at West Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Wentz's United Church of Christ, 3246 Skippack Pike, Lansdale, PA 19446. Arrangements are by R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., Skippack.
