The Life of Carolyn Brown Sheehan

SHEEHAN, CAROLYN M. (Krauss), 94, formerly of Willow Grove PA, died Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. She was born July 7, 1919, in Philadelphia and was the daughter of the late Edgar G. and Cora Boeger Krauss. She worked many years as secretary and office manager for the YMCA in Abington PA, volunteered in the cancer ward at Abington Memorial Hospital, and then worked several years in the Hallmark Gift Shop in Willow Grove PA. She was a faithful member of Jenkintown United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert W. Brown, Sr. She is survived by her husband, John Sheehan currently of Warminster; 2 sons, Frederick (Marianne) Brown and Robert W. (Kathleen) Brown, Jr.; 7 grandchildren, Frederick (Teresa) Brown, Jr., Christian Brown, Karen B. (Eric) Kaplan, Andrew (Jenn) Brown, Robbie Brown, Danny Brown and Amanda (Dave) Herring; and 3 great-grandchildren, Sophia and Abe Kaplan and Keane Brown. Memorial Services to be held at Jenkintown United Methodist Church and will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jenkintown UMC, 328 Summit Ave., Jenkintown PA 19046; or to American Cancer Society 1901 Brunswick Ave., Charlotte NC 28207.
