The Life of Sara Vogel
SARA CARTER, 83, of Wynnewood, PA passed away on September 18, 2014 at Bryn Mawr Hospital. Beloved wife of 48 years to The Honorable William W. Vogel formerly President Judge of The Court of Common Pleas of Montgomery Co. Loving aunt of J. Gwyn Heaver, Robert C. Hekking and John L. Hekking, Esq. Also survived by 6 great nieces and nephews. She graduated from Lower Merion H.S. and then graduated from Virginia Tech in 1952. She then worked as an Executive Secretary to Paul F. Miller, Jr. at Miller, Anderson & Sherrerd. She was a member of Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, a sustainer member of The Junior League of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Horticultural Soc., The Merion Cricket Club, Wynnewood Civic Association, Squam Lakes Natural Science Ctr. and was an accomplished gardener. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 P.M. on September 24, 2014 at The Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, 625 Montgomery Ave., Bryn Mawr, PA 19010. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name may be made to the above church or to Squam Lakes Natural Science Ctr., P.O. Box 173, Holderness, NH 03245.
