DANIEL, JR., 84 years of age, of Media, PA, formerly of Malvern, PA,
passed away on March 10, 2014. Beloved husband of 63 years to Nancy V.
Snyder (nee Taylor). Loving
father of the late David Andrew Snyder. Grandfather of Joshua David Snyder and Justine Danielle Snyder. Great-grand-father of Jackson David, Kazimer John, and James Philip Snyder.
A product of the Upper Darby School District Class of 47, BA degree from Temple University Class of 51. Graduate of U.S. Naval Rhode Island Class Number 7. Commissioned as a Communication Officer on USS Carrier Valley Forge. Upon discharge, he established his independent insurance agency which he operated for 45 years. During that time he and his wife owned and operated East Whiteland Swim and Tennis Club for 18 years during the 70's and 80's. Mr. Snyder also owned a stable of standard bred trotters which raced in PA and Toronto, Canada. An avid tennis player, he competed at his own club, the Waynesborough Country Club in Paoli, and the Hillsboro Club in Florida. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service Wednesday 2 P.M. Paoli Presbyterian Church, 255 S. Valley Road, Paoli, PA where the family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations to Melanoma Research Foundation, P.O. Box 759329 Baltimore, MD 21275-9329 would be appreciated. Arrs.
