The Life of Margarite Escardille Laird

LAIRD, MARGARITE (nee Escardille), 86, entered into rest on Wednesday February 26, 2014 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late William B. Laird who passed May 17, 2013. She was born April 28, 1927 in New York, New York. The daughter of the late Salvador and Alicia (Gelabert) Escardille. Margarite and her husband William owned and operated Blockhouse Furniture Co. in Red Lion, PA. She worked as the Controller.  A viewing will be 5:00 P.M. Friday March 7, 2014 at the JOHN W. KEFFER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, INC., 2114 W. Market St., York with a Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 P.M. Burial will be Saturday with a graveside service at 12:00 P.M. in West Laurel Hill Cemetery 225 Belmont Ave. Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004. She is survived by nieces and nephews and a step daughter, She was preceded in death by a brother George Escardille and a sister Marta Costagliola.
