Obituary

Winifred Dohrmann,  84, (nee Daley) of Newtown Square, died
January 21, 2014 at Dunwoody Village.

Mrs. Dohrmann was born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia, MBS Parish and later lived in Delaware County as a resident of Lansdowne and Upper Darby. Widowed  at age 40, when her husband Edward died as a result of a duty induced heart problem, she was left to raise her six children, ranging in age from 3 to 13. Mrs. Dohrmann enjoyed spending time and singing to her grand and great-grandchildren.

She was known as garage sale guru, finding bargains where no one else could. A kind and giving person, she was always willing to share whatever someone else might have needed. She was a devoted Catholic, whose faith was an inspiration based on the trials she faced in life.

Wife of Edward C., Jr., who died in 1969, she is the mother of Lynne (George), Campisi, David (Lorraine) Dohrmann, Joann (Gregory)Doyle, Eileen, John and the late Edward C. Dohrmann, III; sister of Raymond Daley, Mary Monahan and the late John P. Daley, she is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her great-grandson David J. "DJ" Dohrmann, III.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM Saturday, January 25, 2014, at Annunciation B.V. M. Church, 401 Brookline Blvd., Havertown, where friends may call after 9:45.

Interment-Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.
