The Life of Ralph K Fisher Jr

Ralph K. Fisher, Jr., 83, of Topton, died on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hospice Unit, Salisbury Township.  He was the widower of Ruth A. (Oswald) Fisher, who died July 1, 1999.

Born in Topton, he was a son of the late Ralph K., Sr., and Luella K. (Gordon) Fisher. Mr. Fisher was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Topton.  Ralph honorably and faithfully served our County as a member of the United States Army, with service during the Korean War. Mr. Fisher worked as a Bricklayer for over 26 years and was a member of Bricklayers and Allied Craft Workers Union, Local 21, Reading, PA. He also worked at Caloric Corporation, Topton, and East Penn Manufacturing Company, Lyon Station, prior to his retirement in 1997. Ralph was a life member of Ray A. Master Post 217, American Legion, Topton; a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 560, Kutztown; Lyons Fire Company, No., 1, Lyon Station; and Pike Township Sportsmen's Association. Ralph enjoyed visiting the beach, the mountains, and Gettysburg. He was an avid NY Yankees fan, enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, and like to play shuffleboard, having been a tournament champion in Allentown in 1960.

Ralph is survived by his Children, LuAnn Fisher, Topton; Julie A. Fisher, Kutztown; and Kermit P. Fisher, Topton. Ralph was predeceased by his Wife and Parents.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 2:00 PM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 25 East Weis Street, Topton, with Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Sassaman, officiating. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 1:00 to 2:00 PM in the funeral home.  Inurnment with military honors will be held on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM in Topton Union Cemetery, Topton.
