The Life of Judy Ann Button

Judy Ann (Tompkins) Button, 70, of Kutztown, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in Kutztown Manor, Inc., Kutztown, where she had been a resident for three years. Judy was the widow of Robert A. Button, who died on September 6, 1997, and the companion of the late Lee H. Behm, who died July 17, 2014.

Born in Binghamton, NY, Judy was a daughter of the late Mitchell K., and Iva Ann (Seamans) Tompkins. She was a member of Cherryville Wesleyan Church, Cherryville, PA, and attended church with her late companion, Lee, at Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church, Dryville. Judy loved to clean, having been employed as a housekeeper by Moselem Springs Golf Club, Fleetwood, for many years. She also worked as a bus driver for Carl R. Bieber Tourways, Kutztown from 1981 to 1986. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting blankets and small animals for her family.

Judy is survived by Daughters, Flora L. (Button), wife of Barry L. Schlegel and Judy L. Button, companion of Randy L. Kline, both of Mertztown; Sons, Paul L. Button, husband of Joanne Metzler, Mohrsville, and Allen R., husband of Michele (Dengler) Button, Lenhartsville; 5 Grandchildren, Erica, Laura, Alyssa, Matthew and Andrew; and 4 Great-Grandchildren. Judy was predeceased by her Parents, Husband, Companion, and Brothers, James, Thomas and Robert.

Graveside services and interment for Judy will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 10:00 AM in Hope Cemetery, 16 Fleetwood Road, Fleetwood (Dryville). There are no calling hours.

The family requests that contributions be made in Judy's memory to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
