The Life of Ricky Allen Reinert
Ricky Allen Reinert, 66, of Kutztown, died on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the loving husband of Linda L. (Angstadt) Reinert, whom he married on September 22, 1968.
Born in Kutztown, Ricky was a son of the late Albert and Mildred (Yoder) Reinert. He attended Zion's Church, Hamburg, and Kutztown Area High School. Ricky was employed as a furnace technician and oil delivery driver by Moyer Total Indoor Comfort, Kutztown, for 20 years, where he enjoyed delivering to and talking with his customers throughout the years. Prior to that, Ricky was employed by East Penn Manufacturing Co., Inc., Lyon Station, for 18 years. He enjoyed classic cars, especially the '55 and '57 Chevy and Ford Falcon; going to Wheels of Time and Das Awkscht Fescht in Macungie, and was a member of several local car clubs. A music fanatic and guitar player, Ricky enjoyed listening to Elvis and Buddy Holly, and going to see local groups, Richie & The Rebels, Flamin' Dick and The Hotrods, as well as local Elvis impersonator, Jeff Krick. Ricky was a kind-hearted person who would do anything for anyone, and would always put others before himself. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. To them, he was their Pappy. He also adored his great-granddaughter, Kaydence and best friend, his pet chihuahua, Charlie.
In addition to his Wife of 49 years, Linda, Ricky is survived by 2 Daughters, Sherri L. Reinert, companion of Dave Eckhart, Fleetwood, and Peggy S. (Reinert), wife of Lee Weil, Jr., Lenhartsville; a Sister, Julie (Reinert) Bogert; 4 Grandchildren, Derek Schearer, Ashley Schearer, Sheena Weil and Madison Reinert; and a Great-Granddaughter, Kaydence Huff. He was predeceased by his Parents; a Son, Christopher M. Reinert on January 25, 1968, and a Brother, Tarry Reinert.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery of Bowers. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
