The Life of Anna A Gambler

Anna A. (Schade) Gambler, 96, formerly of Lyon Station, died Friday, December 2, 2016, in Kutztown Manor Nursing Home, Kutztown. She was the widow of Ralph H. Gambler, who died February 18, 1983.

Born in Kutztown, she was a daughter of the late Edwin S., Sr., and Florence (Hertzog) Schade.  She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Bowers and Lyons Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Lyon Station. She was employed as a looper by Leininger's Knitting Mill, Lyon Station and later, as a laborer at General Seating, Topton, for many years, until her retirement.

She is survived by Son, Terry L. husband of Donna L. (Herber) Gambler, Topton; Daughters, Barbara Ann L. Gambler, Lyon Station, Sandra L. (Gambler) wife of Dennis F. Musser, Blandon, Karen J. (Gambler) wife of Leonard L. Epting, Mertztown, Donna R. (Gambler) wife of John Neith, Las Vegas, NV, Brenda R. (Gambler) wife of Dennis M. Ferguson, Lenhartsville, Rhona L. (Gambler) wife of Michael C. Adams, Shoemakersville, Diane S. (Gambler) wife of Robert S. Baver, Kutztown and Debra L. (Gambler) Schlegel, Lyon Station. Other survivors include 2 Brothers, Edwin S. Schade, Jr., Lyon Station, and John Schade, Allentown; a Sister, Betty (Schade) Kurzweg, Fleetwood. There are also 18 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. In addition to her Husband and Parents, she was pre-deceased by 2 Sons, Gary G. and David R. Gambler and a Sister, Elda (Schade) Gehringer.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM in Hope Lutheran Church, Bowers, with Rev. Elizabeth A. Haines, officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery of Bowers. Friends may call 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church.
